Sovara Clinician Certification

A thinking framework forged in food allergy clinical complexity.

The Sovara Clinician Certification trains clinical reasoning, not protocols. Built for practitioners who work with complex food allergy and intolerance cases and want greater clarity, confidence, and a systematic way to read what their clients' bodies are communicating.

Apply for Certification

Application-based enrollment  ·  Experienced practitioners only

What This Certification Develops
1
Pattern-based clinical reasoningRead food reactions, avoidances, and cravings as diagnostic signals pointing to underlying system dysfunction
2
Biological hierarchy and sequencingUnderstand which systems must stabilize first and why order matters as much as intervention
3
Compensation recognitionSee compensation as protection, not pathology, and learn when not to act
4
FoodClues® methodologyApply the full FoodClues® framework across complex food allergy and intolerance cases in your own practice
5
Clinical confidence under pressureMake grounded decisions and communicate pacing, restraint, and boundaries with clarity

Who This Is For

Built for practitioners who are ready to go deeper.

This is not a tool-based certification. It is not designed for beginners or protocol collectors. It is a formation-based clinical training for experienced practitioners who work with complex food allergy and intolerance cases and want a systematic framework for what they are already seeing.

✓  This certification is for you if...
You are an experienced clinician working with complex, multi-system food allergy and intolerance cases
You already know a lot but want greater clarity and confidence in what matters most and in what order
You want to learn to read food reactions, avoidances, and cravings as diagnostic signals, not just constraints
You value structure, restraint, and ethical decision-making in your clinical work
You are ready to apply a teachable, proprietary framework to the cases you are already seeing
✗  This certification is not for you if...
You are new to clinical practice or looking for a foundational nutrition training
You are looking for a collection of protocols or supplement recommendations
You are not open to a framework that challenges conventional food allergy management
You want a passive, self-paced certification with no clinical depth or application
You are seeking shortcuts rather than a genuine shift in how you think clinically

What You Will Learn

The clinical skills no standard training teaches.

Participants develop the ability to apply FoodClues® pattern logic across real cases, moving from food list to system pattern to sequenced intervention with precision and confidence.

Read food lists as clinical data

Every food a client avoids, reacts to, or craves has a biochemical fingerprint. Learn to read those fingerprints as patterns pointing to specific body systems under strain, not just foods to work around.

Apply biological hierarchy to sequencing

Understand which systems must be stabilized before others can be addressed, and why correct interventions applied in the wrong order produce flares, regression, or new symptoms.

Recognize compensation as protection

Learn to distinguish between pathology and adaptive compensation, and develop the clinical discernment to know when intervention is premature and restraint is the more skilled response.

Apply the FoodClues® pattern categories

Work through the full FoodClues® methodology, including the pattern categories, food-to-system mapping logic, and how to read reaction clusters as consistent diagnostic signals.

Make grounded decisions under pressure

Develop confidence in sequencing, pacing, and restraint, and learn to communicate pauses, boundaries, and biological reasoning with clarity and authority.

Anchor to the orienting question

Every clinical decision returns to a single question: why is this body reacting? This certification trains your thinking around that question and builds long-term independence in applying it.

Program Structure

Two phases. One complete framework.

The certification runs in two phases — a live intensive to establish the framework, followed by a six-month integration period to deepen application across real cases.

Phase 1
2-Day Live Intensive
Foundations of the FoodClues® Method

During the live intensive, participants will:

  • Establish shared clinical language and practitioner posture for FoodClues® reasoning
  • Learn to interpret food reactions as connected system patterns rather than isolated triggers
  • Understand biological hierarchy, compensation, and readiness in the context of food reactivity
  • Recognize order dysfunction and why correct interventions can fail without proper sequencing
  • Develop confidence in sequencing, pacing, and restraint with complex food allergy cases
  • Anchor decision-making to the orienting question: why is this body reacting?
Phase 2
6-Month Integration and Mastermind
Discernment, Sequencing, and Application

During the integration period, participants will:

  • Deepen application of FoodClues® pattern logic across real, complex cases
  • Re-examine cases through sequencing rather than problem-solving
  • Practice using labs, symptoms, and history without losing the pattern context
  • Learn to support symptoms without derailing biological order or triggering compensation
  • Refine clinical communication under pressure, urgency, and uncertainty
  • Develop long-term independence and clinical confidence with food allergy populations

Scope of practice

The Sovara Method operates within education, interpretation, and clinical guidance, not medical diagnosis or treatment. Certification reflects clinical reasoning and professional posture, not a scope expansion beyond your existing license.

What certification reflects

Certification demonstrates proficiency in FoodClues® pattern-based reasoning and clinical sequencing. It is a thinking framework certification, not a protocol or supplement certification.

Licensing the Sovara Assessment

Licensing to use the Sovara Assessment or Total Freedom Program with your own clients is available as a separate, post-certification process for graduates who wish to deliver the full program independently.

Application-based enrollment

Enrollment is not open to all applicants. This certification is designed for experienced clinicians working with complex food allergy and intolerance cases. Applications are reviewed individually before enrollment is confirmed.

Your Instructor

Dr. Alexis Sams, PT, DPT

Dr. Alexis is the founder of Sovara Health Systems and the creator of FoodClues® — a clinical pattern-recognition system she developed over years of working directly with last-resort food allergy and intolerance clients who had been told there were no other options beyond avoidance.

Her background began in orthopedic physical therapy. A clear sense of calling led her into functional medicine, where she began connecting food reactions, avoidances, and cravings to internal system patterns in a way conventional medicine was not designed to address.

Every food-to-system mapping in the FoodClues® framework came from real clinical cases. That experience is now a teachable methodology and this certification is how she trains practitioners to apply it.

A Different Kind of Certification

For clinicians who value clarity over speed
and discernment over escalation.

If this way of thinking resonates — if you have been sitting with complex food allergy cases and feeling like you are missing a framework for what you are seeing — you are invited to apply.
